This program is for adults age 18+. Anyone under the age of 18 will not be permitted to attend.
The prevalence of youth and violence in our community has steadily increased. Join us for a community conversation where we consider two options of managing this troubling trend: accountability and rehabilitation. This will be a discussion where participants engage in conversation with one another to determine what the best solution would be.
We will have experts in attendance to offer their real-world experience regarding youth and violence. District Court Judge Shannon Meyer and employees of the Court Designated Workers Program will be on hand to keep the conversation rooted in local issues.
The program is made possible as a result of a partnership between DCPL and CASA of the Ohio Valley.
All issues spoken about in this discussion will focus specifically on issues present in our local community. We will not address nationwide issues in a vague sense nor venture into any type of political debate. Failure to heed this rule can result in you being asked to leave the discussion.
Registration begins 6/5/2023 at 9:00 AM.
